Summer break in Crete

This year i choose Crete for my summer break.

Is the biggest island in Greece and you don't feel actually far away from mainland. It's a legendary place where crete and mycenaean culture were born more then 4000 years ago. There are amazing beaches and stunning landscapes, charming port cities and great food.

Completely stunned by cycadas loud sing after few hours they become the perfect soundtrack of your vacation, always sunny and many times really windy.

Goe to Balos Lagoon where water is 35 degrees hot and Elafonissi beach where you can find seahorses if you're lucky. And visit Chania and Rethymno with their venetian houses and romantic ports.

I stayed in a quaint village of Gavalachori, 30 minutes from Chania, sorrounded by nature in a little corner of paradise. Athermygo villa is an old oil mill decorated with high taste. A beautiful place where i'll will go again.
